The area surrounding Lake Tahoe provides spectacular scenery for hiking. While known for its skiing and boating, the mountainous terrain around the lake, much of it unspoiled, provides for great hiking in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Even the scenery from the roads are spectacular. The photo on this page was taken only a few hundred feet from the road that circles the lake.
